Bright (16th Aug)

Hello again
we have spent a nice couple of weeks taking in all the sights, walks and bike rides in and around Bright, Myrtleford, Mt Hotham, Dinner plain and Falls Creek, these are great places to not only visit but could easily relocate too, we started of with hiring some snow chains and going up to Falls creek Village and having a look around.

We didn’t do any skiing while there but took advantage of the lifts around the Village, it was quite a laugh watching us getting off those chair lift with no skis 🙂

We spent the day there and had a great time in the sun and the snow.
the next couple of days was riding around the many tracks and bike paths in and around Bright and Myrtleford we also went on quite a few walks.

We thought it was time for Jock to experience some snow under his paw’s so we hired some snow chains and took a drive to Mt Hotham and Dinner Plains, I was surprised how much he did like the snow he just went berserk running around in it.

We have seen a lot of snow and some very cold mornings and days, as cold as -5 in the mornings glad we have good heating in the caravan,
after all the snow we decided on taking in some more walks and there is plenty here, below are some just out of bright in the old gold digging mines where many Chinese came looking for the precious metal.

after spending 2 weeks around this area we have moved on to Albury where we have booked in to a caravan park right on Lake Hume, its a great spot on the waters edge and not too far from Albury we are here for a week before going to Ned Kelly’s country and then on the Ship back to Tassie next week, we having to go back early because of problems with the House that no one seems to be able to fix I Guess that’s why they call them selves professionals Ha Ha Oh well lesson learnt We will never rent our home again we will “Sell” next time we hit the road, enough ranting,
Had a good time at the 4×4 caravan expo and we have fitted new tyres to the ranger getting ready for the next adventure 4×4 in the Australian Deserts.
