Anglesea Vic (23rd Oct)

Well we had quite a horrible drive from Loch to Melbourne, winds were 60klm per hour and temperature was  33 degrees when driving through Melbourne, the traffic was very heavy but made it in one piece.

We decided to stay the night at a truck stop on the M80 and driving to Campbellfield early the next morning to drop the van off at Retreat to get some warranty repairs done. Then we had the day to ourselves, we did some shopping for the car and van and then went to a historical aboriginal reserve “Woodlands” it was a nice walk around the reserve taking in some nice views of old homesteads and bushland.

We didn’t get our Caravan back that day as they needed to do more work so we stayed in the van at the Retreat factory. (thanks to Steve Borg the Owner of Retreat Caravan’s)

I took Robyn for a nice breakfast in the morning while waiting for the van to be finished, then hit the road for Anglesea around 11.00am, we made the caravan park at anglesea around 2.00pm.

We ended up staying here for 2 days as the weather was crap windy with rain and we didn’t want to drive the Great Ocean Road in bad weather so we had a drive around and had a look at Bells Beach while we were in the area.

So were now heading for the Great Ocean Road and next stop a small town “Princetown” theres a great camping ground there where its very close to the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell.
